TOLEDO, Ohio, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Owens Corning (NYSE:
OC) today announced that Sheree Bargabos has been elected president of The
Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA). Ms. Bargabos is president
of Owens Corning's Roofing and Asphalt business.

Ms. Bargabos and other newly-elected ARMA officers and Executive
Committee members will serve for a two-year period from Jan. 2008 - Dec.
2009.
Sheree Bargabos was appointed president of Owens Corning's Roofing and
Asphalt business in 2002. In this role, Ms. Bargabos has responsibility for
the company's asphalt shingles, residential roofing accessories and
Trumbull(R) asphalt product lines.
She has served on several Boards including PQ Corporation,
Philadelphia, Pa; Leroux Steel, Montreal, Qc; OC-Alcopor, Zurich,
Switzerland and OC LMP Impianti, Turin, Italy. She currently serves on the
Board of Trustees for the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic and held the
general chairman position in 2004.
