LONDON, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- After 36 years of dedicated service to
Raytheon, Peter McKee, Managing Director of Raytheon Systems Limited (RSL),
plans to retire from the company at the end of February, 2002.
Bob McIntyre has been named RSL Managing Director, succeeding Peter. Bob
joined RSL last March from Raytheon's Electronics Systems Business in El
Segundo, CA, as the Director of Operations, responsible for programme
management, including the design, manufacture and support of RSL products.
During the past four years, under Peter McKee's leadership, RSL has grown
into a major provider of defence and commercial electronics in the U.K. His
contributions will long be remembered on the Airborne Stand-Off Radar (ASTOR)
programme. Peter also placed his stamp of success on the Successor
Identification Friend or Foe (SIFF) programme.
Peter joined Raytheon in 1966 at the Cossor Electronics subsidiary in
Harlow. He was Managing Director of Raytheon's corporate jet business in the
U.K., responsible for engineering and manufacturing of the Hawker aircraft. He
was joint Managing Director of BSG, a Raytheon subsidiary in the electronics
controls industry, and Managing Director of Data Logic, a Raytheon subsidiary
in the software and systems industry.
Bob McIntyre brings more than 35 years of experience in defence
electronics general management, programme and engineering management and in
staff functions. Prior to joining RSL, Bob was Vice President of Programmes
for Surveillance and Reconnaissance at Raytheon's Electronic Systems business.
He is a founding member of the Raytheon Programme Management Council and is
the leader of the Raytheon Corporate Programme Management Training Team.
