MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Health Fitness Corporation
(OTC Bulletin Board: HFIT) announced today that K. James Ehlen MD, who also
currently serves as a board member, has been named Medical Advisor for the
company. He has served on the HFC board since 2001.
Ehlen is the current CEO of Halleland Health Consulting which specializes
in regulatory and compliance affairs, clinical and health system integration,
strategy and health care policy. Prior to Halleland Health Consulting, Ehlen
was Chief, Clinical Leadership of Humana where he had corporate responsibility
for clinical activities across the organization. Earlier, Ehlen founded and
served as Co-CEO of Allina Health System, a local $2.5 billion integrated
health care organization servicing communities in four states with multiple
hospitals. It has one of the nation's largest group practices.
An endocrinologist, he currently holds a clinical position with the
University of Minnesota Hospital and has held previous appointments with St.
Mary's Hospital in Minneapolis and the University of Texas Medical Center.
Ehlen also serves on the boards of Arizant Medical Inc. and Izex Technologies.
