                            What's On VH1 Classic?

VH1 Classic "Headline Act" presents Lionel Richie premiering on Monday,
February 9 at 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM. The first half-hour features an exclusive
interview with Richie as he discusses everything from his life goals at the
age of 19 to the creation of some of his biggest hits including, "All Night
Long," and continuing to make it in the music business after all these years.
Richie also discusses the creation of his newest album ... "The Definitive
(Collection)" package together was interesting because it gave me an
opportunity to go back and look at (the past). I'm so busy going forward with
all those years, that now you get to go back and pick out the songs, you get
to see the songs. The problem ... what songs do you put on "The Definitive"
package. We went through this process of elimination that was more brutal than
anything else I had been through in my life because, it's like saying, what of
your children do you want to leave out of the family reunion. It's tough.
The second half of "Headline Act" will feature Lionel Richie videos
including "Hello," "You Are," "Dancing On The Ceiling," "Truly," "Say You Say
Me" and "All Night Long." The episode will re-air on Tuesday, February 10 at
3:00 AM and Friday, February 13 at 8:00 AM, 4:00 PM and midnight.
Launched in May 2000, VH1 Classic is a 24-hour network that presents music
videos, concerts and music specials featuring classic rock, soul and pop
artists from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Featured artists include The Beatles, The
Stones, Tina Turner, Led Zeppelin, Marvin Gaye, The Who, Stevie Wonder, The
Police and many more.
