JUNO BEACH, Fla., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Geisha Williams has
been named vice president of distribution operations for Florida Power & Light
Company effective on Monday.

FPL's distribution operations is responsible for construction, maintenance
and restoration of power lines that serve residences and businesses.
Ms. Williams will head the newly combined urban and suburban operations
and will report to Armando Olivera, senior vice president, Power Systems. She
has been director of urban operations for FPL since 1997.

to provide our customers with high-quality service," Mr. Olivera said. "This
was an opportunity to combine two critical areas of our business and attain
further efficiencies and improve our processes."
Ms. Williams has served in a variety of positions for FPL including area
manager of commercial services and commercial/industrial field support in the
marketing department, distribution construction services manager, and a
manager in external affairs. She joined the company in 1983 as a marketing
services representative.
