Mazu Networks to Compete for "Most Innovative" Title at Top Security
Conference
RSA CONFERENCE, SAN JOSE, Calif. and CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/
-- Mazu Networks, Inc., the leading provider of behavior-based network
security solutions, today announced that the company was selected to
participate in the RSA(R) Conference 2006 Innovation Station. Mazu Networks
will showcase Mazu Profiler, a Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) system during
the Innovation Station, which will take place at the 2006 RSA Conference from
February 13 - 17 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.
"RSA Conference 2006 Innovation Station program is designed to highlight
emerging companies that are poised to make a difference in the information
security industry," said Sandra Toms LaPedis, area vice president of RSA
Conference. "Mazu Networks was selected for the level and breadth of its
technology, as well as its originality and potential market impact."
Mazu Networks is one of a group of companies that has been selected to
participate in the concourse floor exhibit at the conference and contend for
the title of "Most Innovative Emerging Company," which will be announced
during the show. As part of its participation, Mazu Networks will be given the
opportunity to present its business plan to a prominent panel of judges during
the Innovation Station "Showdown" on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 from 12:00
p.m. - 1:30 p.m. in room B1. The judging panel includes: Asheem Chandna of
Greylock Partners, Jim Goetz of Sequoia Capital, Patrick Heim of McKesson
Corporation and Robin Vasan of Mayfield.
"Behavior-based network security continues to gain momentum in the
marketplace as traditional security technologies prove ineffective in the face
of increasingly sophisticated and frequent network threats," said Tom Corn,
vice president, strategy and marketing, Mazu Networks. "Behavior-based network
security solutions fill the critical holes in status quo security strategies
that rely solely on perimeter and endpoint protection. Being selected by RSA
Conference to exhibit and present during the 2006 Innovation Station Showdown
is further recognition of how critical NBA systems have become to modern
defense-in-depth strategies and an honor for Mazu Networks, who pioneered the
market."
