eToken PKI Client 4.0 for Windows(R) and 3.65 for Linux and Mac(R)
contain all PKI components and drivers necessary for seamless integration
with industry products based on industry standard APIs, including PKCS#11,
Microsoft CAPI and Mac Keychain. All authentication data is securely and
portably stored on the eToken and can be easily used with any Windows, Mac
or Linux computer configured for eToken use.
Public Key Infrastructure technology enables a number of security
services, including strong user authentication and non-repudiation of
transactions. Aladdin's PKI solutions enable organizations using multiple
platforms to easily deploy strong two-factor user authentication for Web
access, remote VPN access, network logon, PC protection, secure email and
any standard PKI-enabled application.
Aladdin's new PKI Client releases provide unparalleled support for
eToken customers with heterogeneous multi-platform IT environments,
allowing organizations to support their users, customers or business
partners whether they are using Windows, Mac, or Linux. Users are provided
with true mobility, as they can use their eToken device from any client
machine, not limited to a specific operating system.
PKI Client 4.0 takes the implementation and deployment of PKI solutions
in an enterprise to the next level with the following new features:
-- Simple local token management - New easy-to-use and intuitive end-user
and administrator interfaces. A simple straight-forward tool is
provided, in either simple or advanced modes, to answer day-to-day
       local token management needs
-- Enhanced security - Token password quality settings are stored on the
eToken smart card-based device, not on the PC
-- Lost token solution - A solution for exceptions, such as employee-on-
the-road lost token scenarios, based on eToken Virtual, a new software-
based virtual token that provides temporary secure access to
       organizational resources secured by eToken
-- Multilingual support - Facilitates implementation throughout global,
       multinational organizations
-- One-factor authentication support - Provides organizations with the
flexibility to allow their users to authenticate only with their token
       when appropriate
eToken PKI Client 4.0 is the first in the series of new releases to be
introduced this year, eventually providing the same unique features and
abilities to all supported platforms.
"Aladdin continues to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to providing
unparalleled multi-platform support for PKI solutions," said Shlomi Yanai,
vice president of the Aladdin eToken Business Unit. "eToken PKI Client 4.0
for Windows and eToken PKI Client 3.65 for Linux and Mac are major leaps
forward in the industry, providing true multi-platform support that enables
secure and practical implementations of PKI solutions. Available now, these
new solutions allow organizations running multiple operating systems to
deploy eTokens for all users, regardless of their OS -- adding a
significant level or convenience and simplicity for IT security personnel."
