NEW YORK, Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Modulo Security, the Latin American
market leader in risk management, will introduce Risk Manager's new
Compliance Module (for FISMA, PCI-DSS, ISO 17799, COBIT, SOX and HIPAA) to
the U.S. market at a press conference during the RSA Conference in San
Francisco on February 6. The presentation will be conducted by Charlie
Warhaftig, Modulo Security director, and Alan Mattson, VP of Business
Development.
Risk Manager(TM) is a compliance, risk and knowledge management
software application. Quick and easy-to-use, it has been applied to more
than 2,000 projects over the past six years to provide structured risk
assessment for technological assets such as software and equipment, and
non-technological assets such as people, processes and environments
(physical security).
Modulo Security and seven other security companies (ConfigureSoft,
Cyber-Ark, Proginet, Protegrity USA, Reflex Security, SafeNet and Verisign)
announced on January 30 the formation of The Payment Card Industry Security
Vendor Alliance (PCI-SVA). The PCI-SVA will provide flexible PCI Data
Security Standard (DSS) solutions addressing the needs of security
consultants and business users. It will additionally educate the business
community on the requirements and value of the PCI-DSS. The PCI-DSS is a
worldwide Information Security standard that establishes security
guidelines for network protection, data encryption, physical and logical
access control, monitoring of activities, and other areas.

compliant with the standard set by PCI may cause the company to face heavy
fines," says Modulo Security's Mattson. "Our solution, Risk Manager,
