BestNet Reports Record Network Traffic in January '02

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Feb. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
BestNet Communications Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: BESC) today announced that
monthly network traffic on its patented Bestnetcall service
(http://www.bestnetcall.com ) has more than doubled over the past six months,
reaching record levels in January 2002.
The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based provider of Internet-based communications
said it posted record revenues in January, reflecting increased usage by both
corporate and consumer users. The Bestnetcall service uses the web to launch
discounted long distance calls that are connected via regular phone lines.
Customers in more than 120 countries currently use Bestnetcall, which requires
no changes to existing phone systems and no special hardware or software.
"Our growth over the past six months is further validation of our business
model," said Robert Blanchard, BestNet President and CEO. "Moving forward, we
will sharpen our focus on sales and marketing to accelerate our growth. We
will also continue to cultivate our existing relationships with corporate
customers, who are saving up to 70 percent on their long distance, even more
on their conference calling and we will look to enter additional sales
channels through direct sales and strategic partnerships."
Blanchard added: "While consumers are an important part of our customer
base, Bestnetcall is especially well suited for business customers, who can
reap substantial savings on long-distance and conference calling without
having to invest capital for telecom equipment or pay conference calling setup
fees. Bestnetcall also has some very unique features that legal, accounting,
consulting and other professional service firms are finding attractive,
including coded billing that can be accessed in real time -- as soon as the
call is completed."
