   Owens Corning Launches Campaign to Rid Homes of Monstrous Uninsulated,
                         Unsealed Sheet Metal Ducts

    ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Owens Corning (NYSE:
OC) is on a mission to protect builders and homeowners from a noisy,
energy- sucking monster dwelling in America's basements -- uninsulated,
unsealed sheet metal ductwork. In a national "Monster Campaign," Owens
Corning is helping educate the market on how fiberglass ducts -- which are
75 percent more energy efficient than uninsulated, unsealed sheet metal
ducts -- do just that.
    The use of fiberglass ducts has been a growing trend among top builders
in recent years. In fact, there is significant growth potential in this
market, demonstrated by the six percent sales increase since 2005,
according to the North America Insulation Manufacturers Association
(NAIMA).
