Internationally-Renowned Journalist, Andrea Koppel, to Head Communications Division at M+R Strategic Services

    WASHINGTON, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- M+R Strategic Services
(M+R) announced today that award-winning journalist Andrea Koppel will head
up the DC-based campaign consulting firm's communications division. A
former CNN correspondent, Koppel will capitalize on her extensive
experience and two-decades in the broadcast news industry to provide
strategic communications planning and media relations services to M+R
clients.

"We are thrilled to have Andrea join our team," said M+R President Bill
Wasserman. "Our clients leverage the media in order to influence public
dialogue and policy decisions on critical issues, and Andrea's vast network
and background in the news media will be an invaluable resource to them."

A veteran journalist, Koppel has covered many of the biggest stories
and most important newsmakers in the U.S. and around the world. Most
recently, Koppel applied her knowledge and understanding of American
politics and domestic issues as CNN's Capitol Hill Correspondent.

During her 14-year tenure at CNN, Koppel also served as a foreign
correspondent, holding posts in both Japan and China. She has traveled the
globe with three Secretaries of State and two Presidents as the network's
Diplomatic Correspondent. In 1996, Koppel won a prestigious Gracie Allen
Women in Radio and TV award for her documentary "Daughters of the
Revolution," which tells the story of Chinese women in the wake of the
communist revolution.

"I am so excited to get to work helping M+R's impressive roster of
clients achieve their goals. I am by nature a very passionate person who
cares deeply about fighting for the underdog, the voiceless in our society.
I spent over 20 years in the broadcast news industry crafting compelling
news stories - at M+R I look forward to helping our clients best position
themselves so their stories can be heard."

Before joining CNN, Koppel worked as a reporter at WPLG-TV in Miami
where she won an Emmy for her news series "Haiti: After the Coup," which
documents the plight of the Haitian people following the coup of then
President Jean Bertrand Aristide.

Koppel speaks Mandarin Chinese and holds a B.A. in Political Science
from Middlebury College, with a concentration in Chinese language and Asian
Studies.
