Breakthrough in Individual Fit, Comfort and Extended Wearability
SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Hello Direct, Inc.
(Nasdaq: HELO), the leading developer and direct marketer of telephone
productivity products and a pioneer in headset technology, launched the
Solo(R) II today. This entirely new over-the-ear style headset features an
ergonomically contoured flexible backbone the user can customize for a
comfortable fit. Over-the-ear headsets are the choice of many
telephone-intensive professionals because there is no uncomfortable headband
or pad.
"Headset use is growing exponentially as the number of customer service
and call centers rise," said Dion Blundell, director of product marketing at
Hello Direct. "The Solo II is designed specifically for people who are on the
phone all day. It's the most flexible, comfortable and durable headset
available on the market. Users report truly enjoying wearing it all day."
Solo II offers custom comfort and stability
The Solo II features a special flexible backbone the user can bend and
mold for a custom fit. Unlike traditional over-the-ear headsets with
uncomfortable hard plastic earhooks designed for the average ear, the Solo II
can be adjusted to fit a wide range of ear sizes and shapes for a secure and
stable fit with maximum comfort. The headset offers an earpiece that rests
gently on the ear, without entering the ear canal, to provide additional
comfort. The Solo II includes two sculpted ear cushions so users can further
customize their headsets for comfort. The enhanced noise-canceling microphone
in the Solo II transmits voice signals more clearly, while rejecting
background noise. The microphone boom is fully adjustable for optimum sound
quality and comfort.
Users who have tried the Solo II have been impressed with its comfort and
soft, ergonomic backbone material. One user even reported the headset was so
light and comfortable he left his office wearing it.
"The Solo II is so comfortable, I wear it for hours at a time," said Robin
Chiang, financial consultant with First Sierra Financial. "I like having the
freedom it gives me to do other things while I talk. For example, I can walk
around my desk to use the fax machine without interrupting a call. An added
benefit of the Solo II is the fact that it doesn't mess up my hair!"
Hello Direct amps work with any analog or digital phone
Most business phones don't provide jacks for direct headset connection, so
amplifiers are necessary. Hello Direct has developed its own line of
professional amplifiers specifically for use with headsets, so Solo II users
may choose the Pro or SuperPro amps. The Pro Series provides a volume control,
microphone mute button, and a headset/handset switch. The SuperPro amp is
virtually plug and play, and uses Hello Direct's patent-pending CODiT(TM)
technology to adapt itself automatically to any phone. It features superior
sound, electronic noise reduction, and an in-use light to alert others that
the user is engaged in a phone call.
Solo II pricing, availability and options
The Solo II is available immediately at a suggested retail price of
$189.99 with the Pro amplifier, or $219.99 with the SuperPro amplifier.
Volume pricing is available. Other options for the Solo II include
Touch-N-Talk(TM), which automatically lifts the handset for the user at the
touch of a lever. The Touch-N-Talk can be ordered with a "BUSY" indicator so
others are alerted that the user is engaged in a call and shouldn't be
interrupted.
