USAID Finalist for SC Magazine Awards Best Security Implementation; Several
Customers Set to Speak on RSA Panel; Next-Generation Solutions Built on
netForensics Technology on Display
EDISON, N.J., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- (RSA Security Conference) --
netForensics, Inc., the pioneer and recognized market leader in Security
Information Management (SIM), today announced that its customer, USAID, is a
finalist for the SC Magazine Awards Best Security Implementation taking place
at the upcoming RSA Security Conference in San Jose, California, February 13-
16. RSA will provide attendees with a forum to learn more about netForensics
and its flagship solution, the nFX Open Security Platform (nFX OSP), direct
from several current customers that are scheduled to speak at the event. In
addition, netForensics will demonstrate pragmatic next-generation security
solutions built on the nFX OSP.
netForensics is focused on building relationships with security vendors
and system integrators who are positioned to help define, build, or enable
information security solutions for enterprises and government agencies. These
relationships help customers maximize their return-on-investment in
netForensics technology by deploying or delivering SIM technology as a part of
a broader information security solution or portfolio of solutions. At RSA,
netForensics is presenting joint solutions in two booths:
* Exhibit Hall Booth #1123
Demo: "Integrating Network and Security Operations"
Attendees will see how they can accelerate response cycles and achieve
compliance with a unified network and security management operating
environment
* Exhibit Hall Booth #1711
Demo: "Proactive Policy Enforcement and Intelligent Mitigation"
Attendees will receive the latest information on how to close the loop
between policy definition, enforcement, and mitigation with minimal
business disruption
On Tuesday, February 14th, netForensics' customer, U.S. Agency for
International Development (USAID) will compete for SC Magazine's "Security
Implementation of the Year" award. Each year, Agencies security posture is
graded -- USAID received the only A+ while the average for all Agencies was a
D-. In testimony to Congress (April 7, 2005) the Acting USAID CIO noted that
SIM played a major role in their achieving the only A+.
On Wednesday, February 15th, netForensics has several enterprise customers
participating in a conference session titled, "Building Real-Time Situational
Awareness and Computer Network Defense." Taking place at 4:50pm PST, this
session will explore how these organizations built business processes and a
technology infrastructure to recognize threats and link them to actual
vulnerabilities. Participants on this panel include: U.S. Department of
Justice, U.S. Agency for International Development, and U.S. Department of
State.
Immediately following the conference session, netForensics is hosting a
cocktail reception (in the same room) to provide attendees with the
opportunity to speak one-on-one with the panelists as well as netForensics
executives.
