Summit v2.1 Update Provides Improved Performance,
Additional Card and Feature Support
DENVER, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Xi Graphics Inc., a manufacturer of
premium graphics drivers for UNIX and Linux, announced the release of an
update for their new Accelerated-X Summit v2.0 line of drivers, which now
includes 3D support for the Solaris operating system running on Intel/AMD
platforms.
With the Summit v2.1 update, the Summit Series of downloadable drivers now
supports over 40 graphics cards and laptops with many of the newest graphics
chips, including support for the new Wildcat 5110 card from 3Dlabs and the
RADEON 8500 card from ATI.

The new line of Accelerated-X Summit Series v2 downloadable drivers is now

card and laptop support and offers increased performance and additional
feature support. New features include support for additional input devices,
Multi-head DualView configuration, workstation cards on Solaris and
improvements in the graphical Xsetup utility.
The Summit Series is based on an OpenGL 1.2.1-compliant rendering pipeline
that was completely redesigned to provide exceptional graphics performance in
Desktops, Laptops and Workstations. The 2.1 update includes support for over
40 cards and laptops and is a free update for owners of Accelerated-X Summit
v2.0. New customers can download a demo at the Xi Graphics Web site and then
purchase a key online to make the product permanent.
