Enables Customers to Lower Security Administration Costs
                        And Better Document Compliance

ISLANDIA, N.Y., Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CA (NYSE: CA) today
extended its global leadership in identity and access management with the
release of integration between CA SiteMinder and CA Single Sign-On products.
The integration provides seamless single sign-on across the extended
enterprise -- including Web, client/server, mainframe, and federated
environments -- enabling organizations to reduce costs, strengthen security,
and facilitate adherence to regulatory compliance.
Single sign-on grants users access to applications or systems without
requiring users to juggle multiple usernames and passwords or re-enter their
credential information each time they access an application.
"Enterprise customers require secure single sign-on (SSO) solutions that
span all business applications regardless of the hosting platform, said Phil
Schacter, vice president and group service director, Burton Group. "CA has
made great progress towards providing the benefits of an integrated SSO
solution that is part of a comprehensive and easily auditable approach to
identity and access management. SSO solutions enable stronger password
policies and the flexibility to deploy multi-factor authentication systems in
a phased approach with minimal impact on existing applications."
CA SiteMinder provides a centralized security infrastructure for managing
user authentication and access across internal and external websites. CA
Single Sign-On provides simplified and secure end-user access to legacy
applications, databases, and client/server applications. Integration between
the products enables customers to:

    * greatly simplify everyday computing tasks through seamless
authentication between resources protected by either solution

    * deploy a combination of authentication schemes, with more sensitive
applications requiring re-authentication with stronger authentication as
      appropriate

This integration delivers on CA's strategic roadmap for a complete,
integrated and open identity and access management (IAM) architecture that
will empower IT organizations to better secure their environments and
successfully cope with increased complexity and a growing number of internal
and external end users. It also supports CA's vision to unify and simplify
ownership of diverse IT resources across the enterprise.
"The extension of single sign-on across multiple platforms, organizations,
and generations of business systems provides tremendous value to both end-
users and security administrators," said Bill Bartow, senior vice president of
Identity and Access Management at CA. "By addressing the full range of single
sign-on capabilities, CA is uniquely able to meet the increasingly complex
needs of today's extended enterprise."
CA SiteMinder and CA Single Sign-On are part of the CA Identity and Access
Management Suite, which also includes identity administration, user
provisioning, user directory, identity federation, and Web services security.
The CA IAM Suite provides customers with the industry's most complete and
integrated identity and access management capabilities, enabling them to
securely manage the broadest range of IT resources - including mainframe,
distributed, Internet and mobile infrastructures.
CA will showcase the integrated solution at the RSA Conference (CA Booth #
1014) this week in San Jose.
