MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Reconnex, the proven
standard in Enterprise Risk Management solutions, announced today that it will
issue the latest edition of its Insider Threat Index(TM) during the RSA
Conference 2006, held in San Jose, California, February 13-17. Reconnex will
also conduct a customer roundtable discussion and host a series of case-
studies, featuring executives of key customers from healthcare, financial
service, transportation, and technology organizations who will talk about the
significance of the Insider Threat to their organization and their strategies
for mitigating risks. The Insider Threat Index identifies the leading sources
of risk impacting F1000 companies.

(Editors note: The RSA Conference 2006 is being held at the McEnery
Convention Center in San Jose, California, from February 13-17. Reconnex will
be exhibiting at Booth # 243.)

The RSA Conference 2006 is the largest and most comprehensive event for
information security professionals, attracting as exhibitors more than 275 of
the top companies in the security industry. Reconnex will be involved in
several activities at RSA 2006:

-- RSA Innovation Station -- Reconnex has been chosen by RSA as a finalist
in their Innovation Station competition, where Reconnex will
       demonstrate its award-winning iGuard product.

-- Insider Threat Customer Roundtable -- Reconnex's Insider Threat
Customer Roundtable, to be held in the private meeting area of
Reconnex's booth on Wednesday, February 15, from 4:00-5:00 p.m., will
feature Reconnex executives as well as key customers.

-- Dan Verton Presentations and Book Signing -- In his continuing support
of Reconnex's ability to provide the only conclusive data on the
insider threat, award-winning journalist Dan Verton, author of The
Insider: A True Story, the definitive book on the insider threat, will
be speaking and signing his book in the Reconnex booth on Tuesday,
       February 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

RSA has hand-selected Reconnex to demonstrate its iGuard content
monitoring appliance -- the only solution that allows companies to see and
correlate risks originating from the insider threat with 100% visibility -- at
the annual Innovation Station, an event taking place Wednesday, February 15
from 12:00-1:30 p.m. in Room B1 (across from the Terrace Concourse), for
privately held emerging companies with products or services designed to change
the information security industry. Reconnex will present a demonstration pod
within the Innovation Station pavilion to "pitch" their products to a panel of
independent judges comprised of distinguished members of the venture capital
and information security community. The judges will select the company they
view as the most commercially viable and likely to succeed by honoring them
with the "Innovation Station Award."
Reconnex's Insider Threat Customer Roundtable will feature Reconnex
executives as well as key customers, including one of the world's largest tax
services providers, a F100 financial institution, Maimonides Medical Center,
and WebEx. The executives will discuss the latest findings about the nature
and extent of the insider threat, gleaned from the Reconnex's February 2006
edition of its Insider Threat Index. The latest Insider Threat Index distills
insights Reconnex has gained from analyzing more than 180 terabytes of blind
statistics and 4 billion content objects collected from close to one hundred
48-Hour e-Risk Rapid Assessments(TM) performed during 2005. This is the
largest aggregation of the data documenting the insider threat to date. The
Insider Threat Index categorizes the top insider risks affecting today's F1000
enterprises to create a national average of risk.
Author Dan Verton will be at the Reconnex booth from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00
p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, to sign copies of The Insider: A True Story.
The book examines the psychology of insider data thieves and the changes in
global competition-global rivalries centered on technology development and
intellectual capital, outsourcing, and more-that are driving the growth of the
insider threat. Verton also takes an in-depth look at specific examples of
insider theft and inappropriate use of IT resources in financial services,
technology, and healthcare companies as well as in government agencies. The
book's findings are backed up by data from Reconnex's e-Risk Rapid
Assessments.
