Industry Leader Ramps Up Consumer Media and Advertising Efforts
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Move, Inc. (Nasdaq:
MOVE), the leader in online real estate, continues to attract world class
talent with the appointment of Patty Mitchell, senior vice president of
consumer media, and Steven Brown, vice president of advertising sales.
Mitchell will be based out of Move's Northern California office in
Campbell, CA, while Brown, who reports to Mitchell, will be based out of
Move's New York City office.
Mitchell, whose background includes 15 years in senior leadership roles
in traditional and new media advertising, marketing and sales, and business
development, will lead the company's initiative to maximize media value
from the Move network of websites. Mitchell is also responsible for
managing the moving.com and Welcome Wagon businesses. Brown, who has more
than 13 years of successful advertising sales experience, will be
responsible for growing and managing Move's consumer media sales team.

Prior to joining Move, Mitchell provided sales, marketing,
organizational and strategic business consulting to advertising agencies
and media and social communications companies on behalf of the Mitchell
Consulting Cooperative, which she founded. Prior to that, Mitchell served
as vice president of worldwide sales for internationally acclaimed Six
Apart, Inc., maker of award-winning blogging and community tools including
Movable Type, TypePad, LiveJournal.com and Vox.com. In this role, Mitchell
was responsible for new advertising, sponsorship and partnership revenue,
as well as operations and infrastructure for the company's new consumer
business division. Mitchell's background also includes leadership roles in
retail, automotive and both online and offline media for companies such as
Knight Ridder Digital's "Real Cities Network," CarSoup.com, Citysearch, CBS
and Target. As a dynamic speaker, moderator and panelist recognized for her
expertise in online audience building, product development, consumer
marketing and revenue development, Mitchell has appeared on radio,
television and at numerous conferences, trade shows and events to discuss
emerging and innovative ideas and trends in media, marketing and
advertising.
Steven Brown's experience includes serving as chief sales and marketing
officer of SilverCarrot, Inc., an online publisher specializing in
performance-based media for Fortune 500 companies. In this leadership role,
Brown directed sales and marketing, business development, operations and
was responsible for the company's financial performance, which experienced
significant growth and profitability under his leadership. In a previous
role at SilverCarrot, Brown served as executive vice president of sales &
marketing, breaking sales records and growing revenues by more than 50% in
his first year, the largest revenue year in the company's history. Brown
has also led several high performance sales and business development teams
in leadership roles for industry powerhouses including United Online/Juno
Online Services, Inc., Snowball.com, and Viacom/CBS Radio. Throughout his
highly successful career, Brown continues to attract Fortune 500
advertising giants and has received awards for excellence in sales and
