MagnaChip Unveils Power Solutions at 3GSM World Congress

SEOUL, South Korea, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- MagnaChip Semiconductor,
Ltd., a leading provider of analog and mixed signal semiconductor products
for high volume consumer applications, today, announced that it will
present four new power management products, for which samples are now
available, at the 3GSM World Congress 2008 in Barcelona, Spain this week.
These products include LDO regulator, Analog Switch IC for USB 2.0, and
both a 30 and 40- volt Trench MOSFET for LCD television and mobile phone
applications.

Sang Park, Chairman and CEO of MagnaChip Semiconductor, said, "We
announced last November our entry to the power management market and have
moved quickly to develop and market products as part of an overall strategy
to leverage our leading analog and mixed signal technology platform to
expand our market opportunity and meet more of our customers' needs. We are
finding that our system level understanding of applications and strong
customer relationships in Asia allow us to rapidly develop and customize
products, as demonstrated by the speed with which we have developed these
new products. We believe our entry to the market is timely, due to
increasing market requirements for 'green,' energy-efficient products and
applications."

The company's initial power management products are designed for
applications such as mobile phones and LCD televisions and allow
electronics manufacturers to achieve specific design goals of high
efficiency and low standby power consumption. Going forward, MagnaChip
expects to continue to expand its power solutions product portfolio through
addition, for example, of more advanced DC-DC products.

Further, MagnaChip has built both its direct and indirect sales network
for its new power solutions to facilitate rapid product distribution and
has partnered with specialized packaging technology providers to deliver
optimized solutions. MagnaChip's products will be manufactured on its
8-inch manufacturing lines, thus offering competitive value as compared to
other solutions available in the market.
