The Liberation Headset Line Will Continue To Be Available To Nortel Customers
                           Directly From GN Netcom.

NASHUA, N.H., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- GN Netcom, Inc., a world leader in
hands-free communication technology, today announced the purchase of the
Nortel Liberation headset business from Nortel Networks. With this
acquisition, GN Netcom will be the exclusive provider of Liberation brand
headsets to the Nortel Networks end user and distribution channel customers
effective immediately.
GN Netcom will work directly with Nortel Networks' channels to expedite
their growing demand for headsets. GN Netcom will also continue to work
directly with Nortel Networks development teams to ensure product innovation
efforts are in concert with demand.
"The change will be transparent to the customer," said P. Michael
Fairweather, president and CEO of GN Netcom, Inc. "We will sell the
Liberation line directly to Nortel Networks' distributors and customers, so it
will be business as usual for all Liberation end users. Customers will be
able to get the same products and the same unmatched product quality that
they've come to expect from the Liberation brand name. By selling directly to
Liberation customers, GN Netcom will be able to react even faster to market
demands and serve the Liberation distribution and end user needs even better
than before."
The acquisition is the culmination of a ten-year relationship between GN
Netcom and Nortel. Nortel Networks began selling GN Netcom headsets under the
Liberation brand name in 1989. During that time, the two companies have
worked closely together to tailor the Liberation products to Nortel's exacting
specifications-the result is a complete line of headsets and accessories that
are recommended by Nortel for use with Nortel Network's telephone systems.
The line today includes office, call center, wireless and mobile headset
solutions.
The Liberation product line is available for immediate shipment from GN
Netcom. Product service areas include the United States and Canada.
