Through Program That Provides Discounted Internet Service for Members
DENVER, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- RMI.NET, Inc. (Nasdaq: RMII), a national
e-business solutions company, and WGLT-FM 89.1/103.3, a National Public Radio
affiliate (NPR) at Illinois State University in Normal, Ill., have announced a
partnership to further enhance and support public broadcasting in the central
Illinois region.

Through the partnership, WGLT will offer its "Friends of GLT" contributors
discounted, unlimited Internet service through RMI.NET. In return, WGLT will
receive a portion of the revenue for every member who signs up through the
program. The agreement is similar to a partnership RMI.NET sponsors with
other public broadcasting outlets.
"This partnership is ideal for RMI.NET because it allows us to support
public broadcasting, while providing a value-added service for those who also
support these valuable broadcasting outlets," said Douglas H. Hanson, chairman
and chief executive officer for RMI.NET. "We will continue to look for
opportunities to support public broadcasting nationwide through this type of
program."
WGLT is a listener-supported public radio station with approximately
2,500 members. It serves Illinois listeners in Normal, Bloomington, Peoria
and surrounding communities. It is affiliated with Illinois State University,
and provides "news, blues and all that jazz," along with National Public Radio
broadcasts and local news, to the central Illinois marketplace.
"RMI.NET is the first participant in our efforts to broaden WGLT's
presence and member benefits in the local market," said Pat Peterson, WGLT
director of membership. "We believe this partnership has provided us with an
excellent opportunity to encourage our listeners to support public
broadcasting, and we are looking forward to a very successful partnership."
Friends of GLT should check with the station to determine whether they are
eligible to receive the Internet service from RMI.NET. For further
information about the RMI.NET offer, members also can call 1-800-ASK-DAVE.
In September 1999, RMI.NET announced a similar partnership with Rocky
Mountain Public Broadcasting Network to support Rocky Mountain PBS, which
serves television viewers through public television stations in Denver, Grand
Junction, Colo., and Pueblo, Colo.
