selected as an exclusive transportation partner for Gerber Scientific, Inc.
(NYSE: GRB), the world's leading provider of computer-based systems,
equipment, software and supplies that generate high-quality mass-customized
products. Effective January 1, 2003, the new, three-year contract,
establishes EGL as the exclusive supplier of international air and ocean
transportation services, domestic US air service and US and Canada custom
brokerage services.
As an extension of their initiative to integrate supply chain processes
through shared services, Gerber's international bid process was designed to
identify suppliers with multi-service capabilities. An influential factor in
Gerber Scientific's decision to award the business to EGL was the company's
