Signet Laboratories Announces Record Growth in 2004

    Pioneer in evidence-based medicine ends year with 25 percent growth in
 revenues, expanded leadership team, increased customer base and new product
                                    lines

    DEDHAM, Mass., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Signet Laboratories, a pioneer in
evidence-based medicine (EviMed), today announced that its 2004 fiscal year
revenue reflects a 25% increase over 2003.
    Signet's revenue increase over the past year is attributable to growth in
both the U.S. and international markets, as well as sales growth in the
company's Neuroscience and Immunohistochemistry product lines.
    In addition, the company launched a series of key new products this year,
including a number of RUO diagnostics such as the ABP-26(TM) and
NEPHROSCREEN(TM) assays for detection of Sepsis and Acute Renal Failure
(SARF), respectively; the Apo-J(TM) antibody and Beta Amyloid 1-40/1-42(TM)
ELISA kits for detecting Alzheimer's Disease; DJ-1(TM) for Parkinson's
Disease; P504s(TM) IVD for prostate cancer; and the ACUITY(TM) Mouse-on-Mouse
Polymer Detection System.
    Signet has also expanded its leadership team this year with key executive
hires, including a new Chief Financial Officer, a new Vice President of
Production & Development, and a Director of Production & Manufacturing.
