Remington Keeps 'Poker Face' at Recent Charity Fundraiser

Over 200 Hotel Industry Participants Raise $12,000 at Texas Hold 'Em
                                  Tournament

Phil Gordon and Robert Thompson of Celebrity Poker Showdown Host the Event

DALLAS, Feb. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Remington Hotel Corporation, the
premier service provider to the hospitality industry(TM), announced that
$12,300 was raised for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund at its recent Texas
Hold 'Em charity poker event. Held on January 19 during the recent American
Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) conference, the Remington-hosted event
brought together over 200 of the hotel industry's brightest stars and deal
makers for a night of high stakes poker and entertainment. Remington also
announced that it expects to hold another charity Texas Hold 'Em event at the
NYU Investment Conference in June.
Phil Gordon and Robert Thompson of the Bravo! Channel's "Celebrity Poker
Showdown" were on hand for the event to provide their trademark commentary and
let some of their skill and expertise rub off on the Texas Hold 'Em attendees.
Phil Gordon, expert poker analyst and co-host for "Celebrity Poker Showdown,"
is a world-class poker player, adventure traveler, sports fan, and
accomplished businessman. Robert Thompson, Tournament Director of "Celebrity
Poker Showdown," JetSetPoker.com, and the Hollywood Park Casino in Los
Angeles, has been instrumental during his 24 years of gaming experience in
finding dynamic ways to raise the bar on tournament competition.
The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund provides unrestricted grants to the
families of military personnel who have given their lives in the current
operations in defense of our country. The gifts, $10,000 to each dependent
family and an additional $5,000 per child, are intended to help these families
through any immediate or long-term financial difficulties they may face. This
gift is made quietly and without fanfare, to protect the privacy of the
families. The Fund's goal is to support them in their time of need, and to
ensure that they know that our nation appreciates the sacrifice they have made
for us.
"We are proud to support such a worthy cause as the Intrepid Fallen Heroes
Fund and honor the supreme sacrifice these soldiers have made to protect the
liberties and values we cherish as a nation," noted Mark Sharkey, Chief
Operating Officer of Remington Hotel Corporation. "What a great night for our
industry. At what we expect will be an industry staple for some time to come,
over 200 of the best and brightest gathered for a night of cutthroat
competition at the tables, deal making and great food. Where else could one
combine all of these in one night? Phil Gordon and Robert Thompson were
wonderful hosts and kept the 'tournament' exciting and humorous. We doubt they
will be looking for any of us to join 'Celebrity Poker Showdown' anytime soon,
but we look forward to having them come back for one of our next events."
Mr. Sharkey added, "We plan to hold another charity Texas Hold 'Em event
during the NYU Investment Conference in June 2005 in New York. We encourage
those interested in participating to get their names down ahead of time. The
next event is guaranteed to be as exciting and well-attended as last month's."

    About Remington Hotel Corporation
Remington is the premier service provider to the hospitality industry. One
of the largest independent hotel service companies in the United States,
Dallas-based Remington currently has 46 hotels under property management, 40
ongoing project management jobs and 33 hotels under asset management. Over the
past 35 years, the owners of Remington have acquired, developed and sold more

    About the Fallen Heroes Fund
The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is supported entirely by donations. 100%
of contributions from the public for this effort go to support military
families; no administrative costs are deducted. The Fund's Trustees underwrite
all administrative costs.
Since 2000, the Fund has helped hundreds of military families. The
Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund contribution is given without restriction,
available for any needs the family may have. This gift has helped these
families in many ways: providing a sufficient down payment for a house, flying
parents to the funeral of their fallen child, providing schooling for
children, and even more immediate needs such as buying food and other
necessities. Some families have put the funds in a trust for their children's
education. Others have used them to establish support groups for families who
are facing similar losses.
The Fund is currently contributing to the spouses and children of U.S. and
British military personnel killed in action, as defined by the casualty
offices of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast
Guard, and the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom, in Operation Iraqi
Freedom; and the spouses and children of U.S. military personnel killed in
action in Afghanistan.
