RSA Security Demonstrates Strong Authentication Technology Integration with Microsoft Network Access Protection

Strong End-Point Security Protects Corporate Networks from Unauthorized Users
                           and Unhealthy Computers

RSA CONFERENCE, SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- RSA
Security Inc. (Nasdaq: RSAS) today announced that the company is demonstrating
integration between RSA SecurID(R) two-factor authentication technology and
Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP) for Windows Vista and Windows Server
"Longhorn." Combining RSA SecurID two-factor authentication and Microsoft
end-point security solutions enables network administrators to ensure that
only authorized users, and only healthy computers, are able to access the
corporate network. RSA SecurID technology and NAP integration will be
demonstrated at the RSA Conference 2006 this week in San Jose, California in
the Microsoft Partner Pavilion at the RSA Conference (booth #1115).
Businesses face significant and ongoing threats as unauthorized users
attempt to compromise vital enterprise data, and unprotected computers leave
the door open for viruses, worms and malicious software to infiltrate
corporate networks. RSA SecurID technology enables organizations to establish
a trusted identity before granting network access. Once an end-user is
strongly authenticated, NAP ensures that the computer accessing the corporate
network is healthy and poses no security risk. RSA SecurID technology and NAP
integration enable organizations to increase their security and mitigate the
risk posed by unauthorized users and unhealthy computers.
"As organizations strive to protect their systems from a multitude of
security threats, it is critical that they leverage technology solutions that
help prevent viruses and other threats from entering the enterprise via an
individual user's system," said Mike Schutz, group product manager of the
Windows Server Division at Microsoft Corp. "Microsoft Network Access
Protection paired with RSA Security's two-factor authentication technology
provides a robust, comprehensive solution that helps preserve the integrity of
enterprise networks."
"By establishing trusted user identities, RSA Security is committed to
providing customers with the ability to broadly leverage stronger
authentication across their organizations," said Karl Wirth, director of
product management at RSA Security. "The combination of RSA SecurID
technology and Microsoft Network Access Protection solutions will provide
businesses with the peace-of-mind that network access is granted only to
authorized users via healthy computers."
RSA SecurID two-factor authentication technology is the world's most
widely-deployed strong authentication solution, leveraged by enterprises
worldwide to ensure the trusted identity of remote access and wireless LAN
users, as well as staff charged with managing critical business infrastructure
(e.g., routers) and applications (e.g., human resources and finance systems).
NAP is a policy enforcement platform built into the Microsoft Windows Vista
and Windows Server "Longhorn" operating systems that allows you to better
protect network assets from unhealthy computers by enforcing compliance with
network health policies.
