TI Lives IT! at 2005 International CES with Record-Breaking Success

           Products Based on TI Technology Receive 43 Awards at CES

    DALLAS, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- A record number of Texas Instruments
(NYSE: TXN) (TI) customers exhibited at the International Consumer Electronics
Show (CES) 2005 in Las Vegas, with many taking home an armful of industry
awards.  TI congratulates all of its customers on their tremendous success and
presence at the show, winning 43 product awards for 35 products including
digital cameras, streaming media devices, home theater products, portable
media players, digital radios, videophones, TVs, projectors and other digital

    More than 500 TI customers were at CES demonstrating a broad range of
consumer electronics enabled by TI technology, including DLP(TM) TVs and
projectors, digital cameras, digital radio receivers, portable audio
jukeboxes, portable media players, home theatres-in-a-box, audio/video
receivers, set top boxes, videophones, streaming media devices and camera
phones.  As the consumer electronics market continues its digital advancement,
TI will provide its customers powerful and innovative technologies that allow
consumers to live the digital lifestyle with cutting-edge, high-performance
products.
    Three TI-enabled products won top honors at CES, winning the CES Best of
Innovations Award by the Consumer Electronics Association, including RCA's
Scenium Profiles DLP TV (HD61THW263) for the digital display category and
Sonos' Digital Music System in the audio category.  The prestigious
Innovations Awards program has given consumer electronics manufacturers and
developers an opportunity to have their newest products judged by a preeminent
panel of independent industry designers, engineers and journalists.  Product
evaluations are based on user value, aesthetics, contributions to the quality

2005 "category killers" in its Next Big Thing awards.  To no surprise, several
of the innovations that CNET selected as setting the standard in innovation
included TI technology, such as Samsung's 67-inch DLP HDTV (HLR6768W),
iBiquity's HD Radio digital AM/FM broadcast technology, the KODAK EASYSHARE-
ONE digital camera and the Slingbox Personal Broadcaster by Sling Media.  In
addition, ARCHOS' AV420 Pocket Video Recorder was a winner of the Technology
is a Girl's Best Friend award, which is awarded by journalists from top
women's media outlets and technology reporters based on form, function,
overall ease of use and how these products enhance the daily lives of female
consumers.
    G4techTV's Best of CES awards recognized the KODAK EASYSHARE-ONE camera
and Sling Media's Slingbox as two of the top 12 new technology products
launched at CES.  Some of the G4techTV award finalists leveraging TI
technology include the InFocus Screen Play 50md10 DLP TV, Optoma Movie Time
DLP projector and the Sonos Digital Music System.
