Abridean Joins the Blackberry ISV Alliance Program to Provide Secure, Automated Provisioning and Administration for Blackberry Enterprise Server

    SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- RSA Conference 2005 -- Abridean
Inc., leaders in the development of identity management solutions, today
announced that they joined the BlackBerry(R) ISV Alliance Program, as part of
an initiative to enable users of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server(TM) to
simplify and automate the process of administering BlackBerry user accounts in
combination with other messaging and enterprise systems. This relationship
with Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) further highlights
Abridean's commitment to developing innovative solutions for enterprises and
solution providers that help them gain efficiency, improve security, and meet
regulatory compliance standards.
With support for BlackBerry Enterprise Server, abrideanProvisor will allow
IT administrators to use a common set of automated processes to manage the
addition, deletion, and maintenance of BlackBerry user accounts as well as
maintain access to other enterprise applications and resources. In addition,
organizations will be able to view a common set of reports to help identify
invalid or orphaned accounts, thus enforcing security policies and meeting
regulatory compliance requirements.
For Abridean's solution provider customers, the BlackBerry Enterprise
Server component will enable them to offer hosted BlackBerry services to their
customers using abrideanProvisor's secure delegated administration model.
"We are excited to join the BlackBerry ISV Alliance Program," said Sean
Sears, CEO of Abridean. "BlackBerry has rapidly become a mission critical
collaboration tool for organizations, and both the enterprises and the
solution providers that support them need to standardize the administration
processes along with their other applications and offerings. This
relationship will allow our customers to enforce provisioning and
de-provisioning policies and ensure that access to corporate information
through BlackBerry is auditable."
