Burger King Files Registration Statement with SEC for IPO

    MIAMI, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Burger King Holdings, Inc. announced today
that it has filed a registration statement for the proposed initial public
offering of its common stock with the Securities and Exchange Commission.  The
shares of common stock to be sold in the offering are expected to be offered
by Burger King Holdings, Inc. and certain of its stockholders.

    J.P. Morgan Securities Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman, Sachs
& Co. and Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc. are acting as joint book-running managers
