Federal-Mogul's Champion Spark Plugs, Wagner Lighting Brands Honored For Marketing Excellence in Two International Competitions

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's
(OTC Bulletin Board: FDMLQ) Champion(R) spark plugs and Wagner(R) lighting
brands were honored for strategic and creative excellence in two recent
international marketing competitions held in New York City.
    The Champion spark plugs "Champion Powers All" integrated marketing
campaign was a Finalist Winner and Certificate of Distinction recipient in the
2004 AME (Advertising Marketing Effectiveness) Awards competition.  The
Champion campaign -- which leveraged the brand's strategic NASCAR team
sponsorships to reinforce technician and consumer preference for Champion
plugs for all vehicle makes and models -- combined print, television and radio
advertising, merchandising, sales promotion and public relations activities in
building a consistent and ownable brand image for "The World's Favorite Spark
Plug."  More than 300 integrated marketing campaigns from 27 countries
competed in the 2004 awards, with entries from such leading global marketers
as Budweiser, Buick, Canon, Cingular, IBM, MasterCard and Nike.
    Federal-Mogul's Wagner lighting marketing team was a Finalist Winner and
recipient of a Certificate of Distinction in the 46th annual TV, Cinema and
Radio Advertising competition of the prestigious New York Festivals.  The
Wagner brand's winning "Weatherman" radio ad, which communicates the exclusive
benefits of new Wagner TruView(TM) headlamps, was one of more than 3,000
entries received from 55 nations.
