that Prateek Mishra, Netegrity's Senior Architect, will deliver a presentation
on the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) at the RSA Conference on
Thursday, February 21st at 10:15 am PT. The SAML specification, an XML
framework for exchanging authentication and authorization information, is
currently being finalized within the OASIS XML-Based Security Services
Technical Committee. Netegrity was the initial driver behind the SAML
standard and has been instrumental in delivering the standard to the market.
During the presentation, Mr. Mishra, will present an overview of the SAML
specification, including use-cases, a domain model, and an overview of key
SAML schema elements. The role of SAML Web browser profiles as a standard to
achieve cross-enterprise single-sign on will be described along with SAML's
progress towards achieving standards status.
Prateek Mishra, Ph.D is a senior architect with Netegrity, in Waltham, MA.
He is an active member of the OASIS SAML committee and the editor of the
Bindings section of the SAML specification. Mr. Mishra was the principal
author of S2ML, a precursor to SAML.
