Waveset has joined the RSA Secured(TM) Partner Program to provide integration
of Waveset Lighthouse(TM) with RSA SecurID(R) authentication software and RSA
ClearTrust(R) Web access management. The combined solution, protected by RSA
SecurID two-factor user authentication, helps enterprises deploy a
comprehensive management solution that administers RSA SecurID user
definitions and attributes and RSA ClearTrust entitlements as part of a
complete identity management architecture. The result is a superior level of
enterprise security at significantly reduced costs.
Waveset's identity management solution combines rules-based provisioning,
granular delegated administration, end-user self-service, Web Single Sign-On
(SSO) management and enterprise risk analysis in one product offering.
Security administrators responsible for managing RSA SecurID user definitions
and attributes in the RSA ACE/Server(R) software can now employ Waveset's
automated provisioning capabilities to "turn on" or "turn off" user
permissions at a moment's notice, and in context with other enterprise
privileges. This management capability also extends to RSA ClearTrust
software, the company's award-winning Web access management solution,
providing unified management of user access privileges to Web applications and
legacy resources alike.
Through integration with Lighthouse, RSA ClearTrust Web access management
and RSA SecurID authentication identities are now integrated and synchronized
with each other, as well as other enterprise resources. Most importantly,
since Lighthouse acts as an identity gateway for the two products, changes
made in one can be propagated to the other, or to identity stores elsewhere in
the enterprise, and vice versa. This management overlay leverages RSA
ClearTrust Web access management and RSA SecurID authentication as key
components of a broader enterprise identity management strategy.
By integrating with RSA SecurID two-factor authentication, Lighthouse also
can be configured to require users to authenticate to sensitive business
resources using "hacker resistant" hardware or software tokens, either in
addition to, or in lieu of Waveset's native authentication mechanism. Such
functionality is critical in current business environments where ongoing
layoffs and evolving partner relationships drive the need to protect
vulnerable assets from inadvertent exposure or malicious attack.
