ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- ABN AMRO Mortgage Group, Inc.
(AAMG), the nation's fifth largest mortgage lender, broke ground today on its
new headquarters located in Avis Farms South Research & Business Park at the
corner of State Street and Textile Road in Pittsfield Township, Michigan.
Tremendous growth over the past three years brought on the need for AAMG
to move from its current location to a larger facility. To accommodate AAMG's
expected continued growth over the coming years, the 255,000 square foot
building has expansion capabilities to 295,000 square feet. Initially, a
total of 1,200 employees will move into AAMG's new headquarters at its
completion in July 2004.
AAMG's new address will be 6300 InterFirst Drive. The road is named after
AAMG's InterFirst Wholesale Mortgage Lending division, the largest wholesale
mortgage lender in the United States. InterFirst will also be headquartered
at this location.
"AAMG's choice to have new headquarters built provides the benefit of a
custom-design building that will match its corporate culture," explained
William A. Newman, executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
"The added luxury of having AAMG management and support along with all of
InterFirst under one roof will create significant efficiencies."
AAMG's new headquarters will feature 4 office wings expanding from its
unique, 2-story atrium center. The atrium will lend a park-like atmosphere to
the building, an extension of the nature infused grounds.

said Avis Farms President, Trish Kalmbach, on AAMG's new headquarters. "This
would not have been possible without Pittsfield Township's hard work to bring
business to the community along with the support of AAMG and Standard Federal
Bank's commercial finance divisions."
