DENVER, CO USA
DENVER and BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Internet Commerce &
Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: ICCX), a national e-commerce/Web solutions and
connectivity company, today announced it is launching The DelFin Project's
patented PromulGate technology on its popular Webzone.com portal site.
    (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20001130/LATH033LOGO )
The patented PromulGate technology provides a rich media entertainment
experience while dial-up customers wait to get connected to the Internet.
DelFin's opt-in player transforms dead time into entertainment time with
movie trailers, music videos, golf tips, exercise tips, games and gags all
tailored to the users' preferences. The associated advertising, which
accompanies this entertainment, converts this latent time into new revenue for
Channel Partners such as Internet Commerce & Communications.
"We are excited to add this service for our Webzone visitors, making their
dial-on experience much more interesting while creating additional revenue for
IC&C," said Douglas H. Hanson, Internet Commerce & Communication's Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer. "This free service is provided on a 'opt in'
basis and we believe will become a very popular application on the Internet.
We are glad to be the first to offer it to the public via our Webzone.com
portal site. Later this month we will also add this option to all our new
dial-up customers via our sign-on CD."
"Taking the unavoidable dead time dial-up users experience while waiting
to get connected to the Internet and transforming it to user-configured
entertainment is a great way to make users excited about their log-on session.
Fresh content like movie introductions, music and travel videos, games and
other interesting media transforms the dial-on experience into something much
more rewarding for everyone involved," said Jeremy J. Black, Executive Vice
President of The DelFin Project. "Since advertisers sponsor the PromulGate
Player and related content this creates additional revenue for our channel
partners from a time that, prior to Delfin, was unused."
Go to http://www.webzone.com/ to download the Webzone PromulGate Player
and to see examples of what this new dial up experience will be like.
