BINGHAM FARMS, Mich., Feb. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Malan Realty Investors, Inc.
(NYSE: MAL), a self-administered real estate investment trust (REIT), today
announced the promotion of three executives. They are Elliott J. Broderick, to
chief financial officer from chief accounting officer; Alan K. Warnke, to vice
president, leasing, property management and construction from director of
property management; and Karen L. Zoltowski, to property manager from
assistant property manager.

they will play in helping execute our operating strategy," said Malan Chief
Executive Officer Jeffrey Lewis. "They have demonstrated their expertise in
several areas of real estate finance, development and management that are
important to our future success."
Elliott J. Broderick, 42, joined Malan in 1991. He supervises the
company's accounting and reporting functions, as well as regulatory and tax
compliance, short-term investments, information systems and fiscal planning
and budgets. Prior to joining the company, Broderick was employed for seven
years by Plante & Moran, Michigan's largest regional CPA firm. He is a
certified public accountant and a licensed real estate sales person and is a
member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan
Association of Certified Public Accountants and the International Council of
Shopping Centers. Elliott Broderick holds a B.S. in accounting from the
University of Detroit and M.S. in taxation from Walsh College in suburban
Detroit.
Alan K. Warnke, 46, adds leasing and construction to his property
management responsibilities. A 25-year veteran of the real estate industry,
he joined Malan in 1997 as director of property management. Warnke has also
served in management positions at Urban Retail Properties Company, the Equity
Group and Landau & Heyman. His experience includes managing several enclosed
shopping malls and strip centers across the Midwest. Warnke earned a B.S.
from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
Karen L. Zoltowski joined Malan as insurance coordinator in 1980. As
property manager, she is responsible for hiring contractors, monitoring
budgets, insurance and marketing. Prior to joining Malan, Zoltowski was
employed by Orlo Johns Insurance Agency in Farmington Hills, Michigan and AAA.
She holds an associate degree in business from Schoolcraft College in Livonia,
Michigan.
