Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust to Release Fourth Quarter 2001 Financial Results on Monday, March 11

    PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pennsylvania Real Estate
Investment Trust (PREIT) (NYSE: PEI) announced today that it intends to
release its financial results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2001
before the market opens on Monday March 11, 2002.  Management will conduct a
conference call that will be broadcast simultaneously over the Internet at
11:00 ET on March 11, 2002 to review the Company's fourth quarter results,
market trends and future outlook.
    The webcast will be available to the public, on a listen-only basis, via
the Internet at the Company website at http://www.preit.com .  The webcast will also
be available via http://www.ccbn.com and http://www.vcall.com .  Please allow extra time
prior to the call to visit the site and download the necessary software to
listen to the Internet broadcast.  The online archive of the webcast will be
