McAfee SecurityShield Provides Robust Anti-virus Protection, Virus Outbreak
Management, Spam Filtering and Content Scanning for the Microsoft ISA Server
SAN FRANCISCO, RSA CONFERENCE, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Network
Associates, Inc. (NYSE: NET), the leader in intrusion prevention solutions,
today announced McAfee(R) SecurityShield(TM) for the Microsoft Internet
Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server. McAfee SecurityShield works with ISA
Server 2000 and 2004 to help enterprise customers prevent malicious code from
entering an organization. This announcement was made today at the RSA 2004
Conference in San Francisco.
ISA Server 2004 is an advanced application layer firewall, VPN and Web
cache solution that enables customers to easily maximize existing IT
investments by improving network security and performance. McAfee
SecurityShield will support ISA Server 2000 as well as the new ISA Server 2004

McAfee SecurityShield employs award-winning McAfee anti-virus technology,
virus outbreak management, content scanning and as an optional upgrade,
anti-spam protection with McAfee(R) SpamKiller(R) -- to protect traffic
entering the organization from viruses, worms, Trojans, spam and other
malicious code. The solution is centrally managed by McAfee(R) ePolicy

enterprise users complete control and visibility into their system security.
McAfee ePO offers policy management and enforcement, enterprise-wide
visibility, rapid software deployment and distribution of the latest virus
definitions. With McAfee ePO, enterprises can implement improved security
management for a lower total cost of ownership.
"With today's sophisticated application layer threats, it is extremely
important for IT administrators to employ proactive multi-layered system
protection across all access points of the organization," said Robin Matlock,
vice president of product marketing for the McAfee System Protection Solutions
group at Network Associates(R). "With McAfee SecurityShield for the Microsoft
ISA Server, IT administrators can further safeguard against email borne
viruses and malicious Web content before it can reach the corporate system.
This represents a huge benefit to McAfee customers who require in-depth
protection and reporting capabilities for their corporate environment."
"By integrating with Microsoft ISA Server 2000 and our upcoming ISA Server
2004, McAfee SecurityShield can help IT administrators more easily manage
their systems to protect against the threat of malicious software and unwanted
