Privacy NETworks, Inc. Releases New Version of Its Popular Anti-Spam Software With 90-Day Free Evaluation

DENVER, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Privacy NETworks, Inc. announced the
release of PrivacyPost 3.0, the popular anti-spam software. This new version
of PrivacyPost includes many features not found in other anti-spam packages
including private accounts for both the end user and system administrator to
review quarantined mail; self-updating knowledge base; configurable
preferences for both the end user and system administrator; spam detection and
administration at the server, user, sender, and domain levels; and end user
notification of quarantined mail. Privacy NETworks also announced a limited
time offer of a free 90-day evaluation for qualified companies with no limit
on the number of users.
PrivacyPost is a server based anti-spam solution that computes the
probability that an incoming message is spam and either forwards the message
to the inbox or reroutes it to a quarantine area based on user defined
thresholds. PrivacyPost is compatible with Sendmail e-mail systems and
interfaces easily with e-mail clients such as Eudora, Outlook and Lotus Notes.
It is extremely cost effective, intuitive to use and includes sophisticated
administrative and reporting functionality.
"Today's release of PrivacyPost 3.0 puts us ahead of anything available on
the market" stated John Stark VP of Sales for Privacy NETworks. "We provide
more functionality and better spam control for a lot less money. Just pennies
per day per user. To back up our claim we are offering free use of our
software for the first 90-days with no restriction on the number of users,"
continued Stark.
Steve Finley, Systems Engineer/IT Manager for Mission Research Corporation
had this to say: "As the local IT manager, my e-mail account consistently
receives about 200 spam messages daily. I tried filtering spam from my mail
browser as well as using some of the other anti-spam packages, but 50-percent
of the spam was still getting through. Since PrivacyPost was installed, it has
been catching about 98-percent of spam messages. Occasionally when a spam
message does get through, I simply add it to my blacklist and I never see that
user or domain again. This represents a huge time savings for Mission
Research, and we don't have to worry about the risk of missing important
items."
Professor Stephen C. Hayne of Colorado State University stated, "I was
very impressed with PrivacyPost's architecture and functionality. We're using
it in my senior level CIS class curriculum. PrivacyPost is a great example of
how technology can help deal with the social and dollar costs that companies
face from unsolicited intrusions (spam) in their messaging systems."
