Reactivity Speaks at RSA Conference 2004

John Lilly, Brian Roddy Discuss XML Web Services Security

    RSA CONFERENCE 2004, SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Reactivity, a
leader in delivering instant and sustainable XML Web services security
solutions, today announced that two of its leading security experts will speak
at the RSA Conference 2004, the world's leading e-security event, being held
at Moscone Center in San Francisco, February 23 - 27. The talks will be
presented by John Lilly, vice president and chief technology officer, and
Brian Roddy, vice president of engineering and co-founder, and will cover a
variety of XML Web services security-related topics in the developers and
secure Web services tracks.
John Lilly joins a panel discussion on integrating security practices and
differentiating between XML Web services standards to help developers rapidly
create secure Web services applications. Through case studies and interactive
presentations, the panel will explore XML security standards, secure XML/SOAP
applications and integrating Web services into enterprise architectures.
Brian Roddy will discuss characteristics of an XML Web services attack,
available defenses and when enterprises should concern themselves with these
threats. Roddy will join other Web security experts on the panel to discuss
the hype and reality of XML Web services attacks.
Roddy will also present a talk illustrating how to incrementally adopt
security for a Web services implementation through a gradual rollout of
security services and a gradual lockdown of previously unsecured resources.
The talk will reveal how this approach minimizes organization contention and
maximizes operational efficiency.
