Getronics and WholeSecurity Announce Partnership to Add 'Zero Hour' Security Component to Getronics 3D

First Managed Desktop Environment With 'Zero-Hour' Malicious Code Detection
Enabled By WholeSecurity's Leading Behavioral Security Solution, Confidence
                                    Online

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- RSA Conference -- Getronics and
WholeSecurity today announced a partnership to create the first managed
desktop security solution with "zero-hour" protection against previously
unknown malicious eavesdropping and backdoor programs like Trojan horses and
worms. To be part of the Getronics 3D(TM) suite of solutions, the managed
service will combine WholeSecurity's breakthrough technology, Confidence
Online(TM), with Getronics' innovative service model to offer unmatched
desktop security. Both companies are participating in the RSA Conference
(Booth 216) at the Moscone Center in San Francisco this week.
Getronics, the world's second largest provider of network and desktop
outsourcing, takes a unique approach to services with its Getronics 3D model.
Getronics 3D addresses all aspects of service by encompassing planning,
deployment and support services for software, hardware and the network. The
managed service approach reduces upfront costs, eliminates operational
headaches and ensures up-to-the-minute support.
WholeSecurity's Confidence Online Enterprise Edition takes an on-demand,
behavior-based approach to guard against attacks from the Internet on both
managed and unmanaged computers. Confidence Online is a proven solution that
has already demonstrated its effectiveness -- without updates and at "zero
hour" before the nature of the threats were known, Confidence Online detected
and neutralized Trojan horses and such widespread worms as Bagel-A, Blaster,
Bugbear, MiMail, SoBig and Fizzer.
Because it is behavior-based, Confidence Online does not require users to
wait for and install software patches or take other reactive measures. Many
organizations fall victim to new or modified attacks because they rely solely
on signature-based anti-virus programs. These solutions require enterprises
to download a software patch that is reactively issued by anti-virus providers
after new or modified code has been identified. By that time, the damage has
been done.
"Getronics provides our clients with the highest value in the solutions we
deliver," said Paul Jameson, Getronics vice president of marketing. "By
integrating WholeSecurity's proven zero-hour detection capabilities into our
Getronics 3D managed desktop suite, we will deliver tremendous protection from
intellectual property losses and interruptions in business continuity that can
result from malicious code."

The partnership will enable Getronics to take advantage of Confidence
Online features:
     -- "Zero-hour" Threat Detection:
-- Breakthrough, patent-pending behavioral technology that is
significantly more reliable and effective than signature-based
            solutions
-- Provides "zero-hour" detection of eavesdropping, remote control,
and backdoor worm threats, without requiring updates
-- Performs hundreds of tests in a few seconds to identify and
neutralize multiple types of malicious code
     -- No User Impact:
-- Completely transparent to users without affecting performance or
            .exibility
-- Performs scans in just a few seconds
-- No installation steps or rebooting
-- No user con.guration or updating

"By adding Confidence Online to its Getronics 3D managed service suite,
Getronics will lift the burden of security management from its customers'
shoulders and once again demonstrate why it is one of the world's premier
desktop outsourcing companies," said Scott Olson, senior vice president of
marketing at WholeSecurity. "WholeSecurity is honored that Getronics has
selected our behavioral technology to bring this innovative managed desktop
offering to the market."
