The Ottawa Hospital Selects Web-based Oacis EHR

Regional healthcare provider expects the "Virtual Oacis" (vOacis(TM))
electronic health record system will improve care delivery quality while
    reducing IT costs.

SAN FRANCISCO and OTTAWA, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ - DINMAR, a leading North
American healthcare information technology company, announced today that The
Ottawa Hospital has selected the vOacis suite of web-based electronic health
record solutions to deploy across its three medical campuses as well as the
Rehabilitation Centre and the Regional Cancer Centre.

"Forging partnerships and inspiring innovation are at the heart of our
success as an organization," said Gino Picciano, Sr. Vice President and Chief
Operating Officer. "The vOacis solution fully supports this strategy. Its
leading-edge capabilities will strengthen our position as a leader in health
information management and enable us to provide even higher quality care
community wide -- anywhere, any time." The Ottawa Hospital will deploy the
vOacis solution across all three campuses, which constitute 1,016 beds, 53,000
inpatient episodes and 627,000 outpatient visits annually.

O A C I S (equal sign) Open Architecture Clinical Information System With
a clinical data repository at its core, Oacis' hallmark open architecture
platform provides a wealth of advantages such as a built-in integration engine
that enables quick connectivity among all disparate systems. Moreover, the
enterprise member/patient index utility identifies patients across all
organizations as well as automatically eliminates duplicate records as they
stream through the network. These underlying technologies ensure that
caregivers have access to a complete and accurate patient record throughout
broad and complex provider organizations.

"The selection of vOacis at The Ottawa Hospital continues to re-enforce
the strong market need for open systems which empower healthcare sites to
deploy robust yet easy-to-use EHR functionality," said Mark Groper, President
and CEO, DINMAR. We are pleased to be able to address the customer's need for
a tightly integrated CPOE and clinical documentation solution to be deployed
across the region on mobile devices.

Due to its innovative and intuitive user interface, Oacis Order
Management wins accolades from physicians who agree it is the most
comprehensive solution for computerized physician order entry (CPOE) available
today. Also, the built-in drug prescription capabilities instantly respond
with appropriate alerts to patient specific information located within the
longitudinal record. Integrated with CPOE is Oacis' flexible clinical
documentation module into which clinicians from all disciplines can
electronically record a broad spectrum of plans, actions, observations, and
results. Moreover, while alternative systems struggle with performance issues,
Oacis can significantly scale up in size and still provide clinicians with
rapid response time.

Currently used by over 75,000 clinicians daily, Oacis enables large-scale
providers as well as smaller community-based sites to quickly implement a
comprehensive EHR - accessible anywhere, anytime.
