Nation's Largest Online Advertising Network of Local TV Stations Today
NEW YORK, Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- WorldNow announced today that
broadcast industry veteran Ted Utz has joined its Local Media Network (LMN)
division as Vice President, National Sales. In his new position, Utz is
responsible for managing a national sales team and building new sales
channels for the network and station affiliates.
"From local and cable television to radio management, from new media
production to sales, Utz knows first-hand the challenges facing advertisers
in this ever-evolving digital world," says Allison Bodenmann, Executive
Vice President, WorldNow/Local Media Network. "His impressive background
makes him ideally suited to advise the Local Media Network clients on the
best convergence ad programs for their overall marketing campaigns. In
addition, his long-standing relationships with the advertising community
will no doubt bring new clients and partners to the growing Local Media
Network roster."
Most recently, Utz spent five years as CEO and President of Cross-Media
Entertainment, a producer and aggregator of online and traditional media
programming. In this position, he was responsible for building content and
sponsorship channels for a wide array of partners including Comcast Online,
Village Voice Media and Global Media Services.
"I've always enjoyed collaborating with creative executives who are
blazing trails in the media industry," says Utz. "In my new position at
WorldNow, I'm charged with bringing Local Media Network's unique, national
online advertising model to interactive ad professionals around the
country. I'm delighted to be working with such an innovative,
forward-thinking group of people-both inside and outside the company!"
Prior to CrossMedia, Utz served as executive vice president of Clear
Channel Interactive / SFX Entertainment, where he spent five years managing
the network radio division and building the New York-based online sales
team. He was also Vice President and General Manager of CBS affiliate KCOY
in Santa Barbara during the mid-1990's, where he rebuilt the station's
dominance around local news, community affairs and the newly energized CBS
Television Network. He began his career in radio on a path that took him
through WMMR in Philadelphia and at WNEW-FM in New York where he rose to
become Vice President and General Manager. Over the course of his radio
broadcast career, he has worked with such superstars as Howard Stern, the
Rolling Stones, the Grateful Dead, N'Sync, Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen,
