Award-Winning Agilent Technologies' Logic Analyzer Uses SM&A Developed Software for User Interface

SM&A Developed Instrument Display Praised for Ease of Use

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Feb 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Electronic Products magazine
recently gave their prestigious "Product of the Year" award to Agilent
Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: A) for its LogicWave E9340A PC-hosted logic
analyzer. SM&A Corporation (Nasdaq: WINS) developed the award winning
instrument's Microsoft(R) Windows(R) user interface -- an interface praised
for its ease of use.
In accepting the award from the editors of Electronic Products, Bob
McClung, general manager of Agilent's Digital Design Product Generation Unit
noted that, "The outstanding working relationship with SM&A was crucial to
LogicWave's development" and that "SM&A has raised the bar in terms of
strategic outsourcing."
Commenting on the award for LogicWave, Michael A. Piraino, SM&A President
and Chief Operating Officer, said, "This award represents the value SM&A
brings to its customers. We're delighted to be a key part of Agilent's team
and we're proud to be playing a role in making Agilent's products world class
award winners."
The new PC-hosted analyzer -- Agilent's first -- provides engineers with
breakthrough, easy-to-understand functionality in a compact, lightweight,
lower cost package. Logic analyzers are popular debug tools for electronics.
Increasingly, they are recognized as essential tools for hardware debug and
FPGA (field-programmable gate array) design because they can help pinpoint
debug and design problems quickly.
The Agilent E9340A LogicWave logic analyzer provides 34 channels with
100MHz state and 250MHz timing analysis and 128K samples of depth per channel,
and is now available for $3,200. Engineers can try the Agilent LogicWave
logic analyzer interface by downloading it from the Web at
