DENVER, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Accelr8 Technology Corporation
(Nasdaq: ACLYE) announced today its Extensible Markup Language (XML) product
and services offerings supporting Legacy Systems integration with the
Internet. XML will be increasingly used as the data interchange mechanism for
within and between enterprises as an enabler of the current e-Business and
Business-to-Business (B2B) revolution.
Accelr8's newest software product, XML server for RMS, is a file access
system that allows queries and data sharing between VMS legacy systems and
modern SQL databases or web applications across the network. With XML for
RMS, users can replicate their legacy data into ERP systems, interface with
modern EDI systems, add legacy data to B2B pipelines, and provide clients with
real-time reporting of data stored in legacy systems. The XML server is a
Java-based product that runs on Windows NT and Solaris.
As a complement to the XML server, Accelr8 is introducing a full range of
services to help enterprises integrate their Legacy Systems with the Internet,
e-Commerce and Business-to-Business objectives. These services include
Installation, Training, VMS RMS data analysis, business analysis, custom
design, data replication, Java-based application design and Legacy Renewal.
"Accelr8's XML for RMS Server provides an independent level of access to
legacy data sources that typically have remained hidden from view, except to
the specific legacy applications that accessed those data files," said Kent
Gestring, Accelr8's Director of Technical Services. "With this capability,
web browser applications can have access to this data to run the enterprise
business over both the Intranet and Internet."
Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Accelr8 offers a full spectrum of
systems modernization solutions, including products, training, consulting and
engineering services. Contact the company at http://www.accelr8.com.
