Netscape Fantasy Baseball on Netcenter Offers Experts and Beginners a Chance To Step Up to the Plate to Play, Win Cash

Netscape, SportLine USA, Commissioner.COM Bring Proven, Sophisticated Fantasy
                              League Play Online

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Netscape Communications
Corporation (Nasdaq: NSCP) today announced that baseball enthusiasts have
three unique ways to play Fantasy Baseball this season on the Netscape
Netcenter Sports Channel by SportsLine USA at
http://commissioner.netscape.com. Baseball enthusiasts can now use the latest
interactive technology from Netscape, SportsLine USA and Commissioner.COM to
play fantasy baseball on the Internet. Unlike other fantasy baseball Web
sites, the Netscape Sports Channel offers contests for everyone from
first-time managers to seasoned veterans using the widely acclaimed
Commissioner.COM Fantasy Sports service. In addition, Netscape Fantasy
Baseball offers the chance for players to win cash prizes from a pool of
$15,000 (grand prize $2500) to be awarded to successful team managers at every
level of play.
Netscape Fantasy Baseball offerings allow baseball fans to become team
managers, create their own fantasy teams, and compete in leagues where a
team's daily performance is based on how each player in the lineup performs in
real Major League Baseball games. For example, a "team manager," can draft a
team with Roger Clemens and Mark McGwire -- as long as, the player has not
been drafted by another team.
"Netscape brings fantasy league fun and excitement to online baseball
enthusiasts with Netscape Fantasy Baseball on Netcenter," said Jerrell
Jimerson, vice president of consumer, business and finance programming for
Netscape Netcenter. "Netscape gives consumers yet another way to enhance their
Internet experience and get what they want online."
The three Netscape Fantasy Baseball offerings are:

    * Netscape Fantasy Baseball '99 makes joining a fantasy league easy and
hassle free. Commissioner.COM acts as the league commissioner, setting
the rules and determining the scoring method. Netscape Fantasy
Baseball '99, allows team managers to compete against other teams,
participate in an on-line draft, manage their team and win big league
prizes. The leagues consist of 10 teams, groups of friends can reserve
leagues or Commissioner.COM can help locate a league for the solo player
through its Find-A-League feature. The one-time cost is $19.95 per team,
with no additional transaction or other fees.

    * Netscape Commissioner from Commissioner.COM, the product that enables
existing fantasy or rotisserie baseball leagues with software that helps
baseball enthusiasts to run their own fantasy league on the web.
Game-by-game updates, injury reports, results, and statistics are
available at the touch of a button. Baseball enthusiasts can check out
Netscape Commissioner for a 30 day FREE trial.

    * Home Run Mania, a free game geared toward fans new to the fantasy game.
Team managers choose a dream team of power hitters, then sit back as
their team's performance is evaluated daily.

Standings will be posted each week and prizes will be awarded both weekly
and at the end of the season. Public and private leagues will be forming
through April 2nd, and player drafts will begin March 15. Would-be managers
