PITTSBURGH, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- This year's work on the Fort Pitt
Bridge and Tunnel Rehabilitation Project will begin on Wednesday, March 15,
the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.
At 12:01 a.m., project contractor Brayman Construction Corporation of
Gibsonia will close the inbound off-ramps from the Fort Pitt Bridge to Liberty
Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies. The ramps are scheduled to open in late
June.
The primary detour will be I-376 Parkway East to Grant Street, via the
Grant Street Exit (Exit Three).

Always open to traffic -- epenndot.com received nearly 24,000 hits during
its debut yesterday.
Once the Liberty Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies off-ramps are
completed and open to traffic in late June or early July, the inbound ramps
from the Fort Pitt Bridge to Fort Duquesne Boulevard, the Tenth Street Bypass
and the Fort Duquesne Bridge will be closed.
