NEW YORK, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Blue Monster at Doral has served as
a formidable foe for the PGA TOUR's elite throughout the years and the 2004
edition of the Ford Championship at Doral is shaping up to continue that
tradition as USA Network airs live coverage Thursday and Friday, March 4-5
(3 PM Live ET/3 PM PT).
Last year, Scott Hoch and 2003 U.S. Open champion Jim Furyk battled into
Monday morning to decide a winner as the pair squared off in a 3-hole sudden
death finish that was postponed on Sunday because Hoch couldn't see the line
on his eventual winning putt due to darkness. Along with defending champ Hoch,
"King of the 2004 West Coast Swing" Phil Mickelson headlines a field that also
includes Major champions David Toms, Justin Leonard, Seve Ballesteros and
Shaun Micheel, to name a few.
PGA TOUR rookie Ricky Barnes patrols the streets of South Beach for high
fashion and shows viewers of PGA TOUR Sunday (March 7, 11 AM LIVE ET/9 AM PT)
that no matter what game you're playing in Miami you have to look good. USA's
travel series "Two Days in Paradise" airs its fifth installment as Golf For
Women senior editor and host Stina Sternberg travels to Punta Mita, Mexico to
play golf with 2003 LPGA Rookie of the Year and national heroine Lorena Ochoa.

PGA TOUR Sunday blends up-to-date tournament "game-day" reports, topical
golf stories and analysis with the lifestyle of golf and elite golfers --
adding the dimensions of entertainment, pop culture, music, fashion, travel
and more -- that draw celebrities, professional athletes and entertainers to
the sport. In-studio instructional tips geared to the day's final round
situations and editorial commentary by top national golf writers, set PGA TOUR
Sunday apart from other golf shows. With a reputation for innovative
early-round live coverage of the PGA TOUR, USA Network also has the unequaled
distinction of originating live studio programming from the World Golf Hall of
Fame.
USA Network is the home of more early-round action than any other
broadcast or cable network on television. Bill Patrick hosts USA Network's
Thursday and Friday coverage and Jim Nelford will walk and report action from
the course.
Gordon Beck is USA Network's Senior Vice President, Production &
Sports/Executive Producer and Kevin Landy is Vice President, Sports
Programming and Senior Producer golf.
USA Network is cable television's leading provider of original series and
feature movies, sports events, off-net television shows and blockbuster
