Bradley Pharmaceuticals Expands Strategic Activities at 63rd Annual Meeting of The American Academy of Dermatology

    FAIRFIELD, N.J., March 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bradley
Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NYSE: BDY) announced today that the Company's Doak
Dermatologics subsidiary achieved its highest level of corporate participation
to date at the 63rd Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology
(AAD) held in New Orleans, LA, from February 18-22, 2005.
At this meeting, Doak debuted the Company's commanding, state-of-the-art
exhibit booth. Doak's innovative, new exhibit booth provided an impressive
and highly functional presence at the AAD. The spacious 20' x 40' structure,
including floating signage displaying corporate and product logos suspended
above the convention floor, attracted record physician attendance, with
approximately one-third of attendees visiting the booth, including over 1,100
professionals requesting post-AAD interaction with a Doak representative. The
ample-sized booth allowed comfortable physician interaction with Doak senior
management and sales representatives, while a large center presentation screen
and four smaller presentation screens afforded numerous opportunities to
display brand messaging for physician review.
Doak also sponsored two exciting programs for healthcare professionals.
In the first, the Second Annual Derm/arts(R) Award of Excellence Dinner, the
Derm/arts(R) Award of Excellence was presented. This award is bestowed in
recognition of a career of commitment and contribution to advancing the
highest principles of dermatology. The second program was held in support of
the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), a relatively new
association of approximately 1,200 physician assistants. At this event, Doak
recognized the vision and accomplishments of the founding members of this
organization which is focused on improving patient care by providing
additional education and training for dermatology physician assistants and
helping to ensure optimal utilization of physician time.
As part of Bradley's continuing commitment to strengthening the Company's
International Division, Management held a dinner for Bradley's global
marketing partners who were in attendance at the AAD, including
representatives from Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, Italy, South Africa, as
well as the Ukrainian distributor for Eastern Europe. This dinner focused on
providing a forum for Bradley's international partners to share their
successes across borders to help expand product distribution overseas.
Important Doak products featured at the AAD included new KERALAC(TM) (50%
Urea) Cream, the latest member of the KERALAC(TM) family of Urea-based tissue
softeners, indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe dry skin
conditions; new ADOXA(R) Pak(TM) 1/100 mg (Doxycycline Monohydrate) and new
ADOXA(R) Pak(TM) 2/100 mg (Doxycycline Monohydrate), which offer the well-
established antibiotic Doxycycline for the adjunctive treatment of severe acne
in a novel, convenient 'pak' to promote patient compliance; and new
SELSEB(TM)(Selenium Sulfide 2.25%) Shampoo in a vehicle containing Urea and
Zinc Pyrithione, an effective, non-steroidal, antifungal shampoo indicated for
the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis, tinea versicolor and dandruff.
In addition to these new therapies, introduced in 2005, significant
physician dialogue was generated concerning Doak therapies introduced in
recent years, including SOLARAZE(R) GEL (diclofenac sodium-3%) actinic
keratosis therapy, ROSULA(R) NS Medicated Pads, the only medicated pad
containing sodium sulfacetamide and Urea, and the ZODERM(R)(Benzoyl Peroxide
in a 10% Urea vehicle) line of moisturizing Benzoyl Peroxide for the treatment
of acne. A second booth near Doak's main exhibit space featured over 500 masks
decorated by dermatologists in response to a physician-based interactive
program called "The Faces of Acne(TM), created to raise awareness of
ZODERM(R)."
President and CEO, Daniel Glassman, stated, "Bradley's Doak Dermatologics
subsidiary is pleased to continue the Company's support of the AAD. Doak was
one of the founding sponsors of the American Academy of Dermatology, an
original exhibitor at the first AAD Annual Meeting, and has been in attendance
at every AAD meeting since, with an increasingly strong presence. Doak is
particularly pleased to have been able to recognize a leader in the field of
dermatology as well as the founders of the SDPA at this meeting."

About the 63rd Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology

dermatologic association in the country. With a membership of over 14,000, it

    Important Safety Information
KERALAC(TM) Cream is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes,
lips, or mucous membranes. If redness or irritation occurs, discontinue use.

ADOXA(R) Tablets are contraindicated in persons who have shown any
sensitivity to any of the tetracyclines. The use of drugs of the tetracycline
class during tooth development (last half of pregnancy, infancy, and childhood
to 8 years) may cause permanent discoloration of the teeth (yellow-gray-
brown). Photosensitivity manifested by exaggerated sunburn has been observed
in some individuals taking tetracyclines. Treatment should be discontinued at
first evidence of skin erythema. Concurrent use of tetracycline may render
oral contraceptives less effective.

SELSEB(TM) Shampoo is for external use only. Not for ophthalmic use. Do
not use on broken skin or inflamed areas. If allergic reaction occurs,
discontinue use. Avoid contact with eyes, genital areas and skin folds, as
irritation and burning may result.

SUN AVOIDANCE IS INDICATED DURING SOLARAZE(R) GEL THERAPY. As with other
NSAIDs, anaphylactoid reactions may occur in patients without prior exposure
to diclofenac. Diclofenac sodium should be given with caution to patients with
the aspirin triad. In clinical trials, the most common adverse reactions
involved the skin, and included contact dermatitis, rash, dry skin and
exfoliation. The majority of these reactions were mild to moderate, and
resolved upon discontinuation of therapy. SOLARAZE(R) Gel should not be
applied to open skin wounds, infections, or exfoliative dermatitis.

ROSULA(R) NS Medicated Pads are contraindicated in persons with known or
suspected hypersensitivity to sulfonamides or to any of the ingredients of the
preparation. ROSULA(R) NS Medicated Pads are not to be used by patients with
kidney disease. Although uncommon, local irritation has been reported with
the topical use of sodium sulfacetamide.

ZODERM(R) is for external use only. Contact with eyes, lips, or mucous
membranes should be avoided. If severe irritation develops, ZODERM (R) use
should be discontinued. In addition, while using ZODERM (R) patients should be
advised to avoid unnecessary sun exposure.
