(Nasdaq: RSAS) today announced that E*TRADE FINANCIAL Corporation has selected
the RSA(R) Adaptive Authentication solution as well as the Company's
anti-phishing service to provide next-generation online security for its
retail customers. RSA Adaptive Authentication, the integrated solution
created since RSA Security acquired Cyota in 2005, will deliver an additional
layer of behind-the-scenes fraud detection and consumer authentication for
E*TRADE FINANCIAL customers. E*TRADE FINANCIAL will also join the RSA Cyota
eFraudNetwork(TM) community, a cross-institution online fraud repository which
is designed to allow financial institutions to share fraudster profiles and
efficiently detect and stop online banking and online commerce fraud in
real-time.

based on a broad range of criteria, including the user's IP address,
geographic location and prior transaction behavior. When a potentially risky
situation is detected, it can invoke additional authentication methods in
real-time.
In addition to this, E*TRADE FINANCIAL will deploy RSA Cyota's
FraudAction(TM) service, an end-to-end anti-phishing solution that helps
detect, prepare for, actively respond to and control phishing attempts. The
FraudAction service also includes one of the world's first anti-pharming
services, designed to assist banks with protection from DNS Poisoning attacks,
also known as pharming.
