Embedded Computers announced today the release of its new NxC-301, 3U
CompactPCI industrial single board computer, for OEMs and Systems Integrators.
With its high performance capabilities, extensive onboard feature set and
space efficient design, the NxC-301 is ideal for challenging environments
where space is at a premium and high system availability and throughput are
crucial.

NxC-301 is therefore an excellent single board computer for industrial

The NxC-301 offers unparalleled performance capabilities for high powered
computing environments. The board features both Intel Pentium with MMX
technology and AMD K6-II microprocessors with clock speeds up to 300MHz. The
NxC-301 includes 10/100Base-TX Ethernet connectivity, and advanced memory
features supporting up to 128 MB of on-board EDO or SDRAM.
Unique expandability and scalability features provide for application
customization. For instance, the integrated SXGA video controller enables
dual CRT and flat panel display operation as well as video on graphics
overlays with resolutions to 1600x1200x256 colors. A PC/104 header is
standard onboard allowing for expansion via industry standard PC/104 modules,
and the NxC-301 is engineered to support the Multimedia Design Guide Rev. 1.0
specifications, making it ready to drive emerging industrial multimedia
applications.

The NxC-301 complements Xtech's 3U CompactPCI system offering which
includes a rugged aluminum enclosure, high-availability power supply, CPCI
peripheral cards and specialized technology hardware such as the NxMPEG-2
video decoder.
