CHICAGO, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Endorex Corporation (Amex: DOR) today
announced the promotion of two key executives. Effective immediately, David
G. Franckowiak has been elected Chief Financial Officer for Endorex and its
two subsidiaries having previously been Vice President, Finance and
Administration. Mr. Franckowiak will also continue as Vice President,
Treasurer and Corporate Secretary for Endorex Corporation and its
subsidiaries. Hansi J. Dean, Ph.D. will assume responsibility as Senior
Director, Drug Delivery and Infectious Diseases.
Michael Rosen, President and Chief Executive Officer of Endorex, stated:

Among his contributions is the significant role he played in assisting me to
complete Endorex's two joint ventures with Elan during 1998 and also in
establishing our recent credit line with Finova, which was announced earlier
this year."
Mr. Franckowiak joined Endorex as Controller/Treasurer in April 1997. In
January 1998, he was promoted to Vice President, Finance and Administration.
Prior to joining Endorex, he held several positions with
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP since 1985. Mr. Franckowiak has a Master of
Accountancy from DePaul University and is both a Certified Management
Accountant and a CPA. He is a founding director of the Chicago Biotech
Network and currently serves as Treasurer. He is also Past President of
Community Support Services, which serves people with developmental
disabilities and their families.
Hansi Dean joined Endorex in April 1998. In addition to Dr. Dean's role
of managing Endorex's oral drug and vaccine delivery programs, she will also
assume responsibility for the company's vaccine development program. "Dr.
Dean has played a critical role in our oral vaccine delivery joint venture
with Elan, Innovax, and has accelerated the development of the joint venture's
key scientific activity," said Michael Rosen.
Dr. Dean has extensive experience in vaccine and vaccine adjuvant delivery
system development in the veterinary field. Before joining Endorex, she was
Group Leader of Virology for Schering-Plough Animal Health (formerly
Mallinckrodt Veterinary, Inc.) where she managed programs in conventional and
recombinant vaccines, as well as sustained release and adjuvant formulations.
Prior to that, she worked in mucosal immunity and immunomodulators at
International Minerals and Chemical Corporation. Hansi Dean earned her Ph.D.
in Microbiology-Immunology in 1992 at Northwestern University Medical School
in Chicago, Ill., and performed postdoctoral work in infectious disease at the
U.S. Department of Agriculture. She received a B.S. in Chemistry with high
honors in 1984 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She is a member
of the American Society for Virology, American Association for the Advancement
of Science, Chicago Area Virology Association, and the Conference of Research
Workers in Animal Diseases. Dr. Dean has authored 12 publications and 16
abstracts in the fields of virology and vaccine development as well as being
active in scientific grant and journal review.
Endorex Corporation is a drug delivery and cancer products company. The
