       Mr. Rucker Retains Position of Senior Vice President, Diversity

    MIAMI, March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Burger King Corporation today announced the
appointment of Clyde Rucker to the position of Chief of Staff for Brad Blum,
Chief Executive Officer.  Mr. Rucker will retain his position as Senior Vice
President, Diversity and will serve as a member of the Executive Leadership
Team.

    In his new role as Chief of Staff, Mr. Rucker will help Mr. Blum and the
entire Executive Leadership Team to optimize relationships with franchisees,
franchise associations, local communities and BURGER KING(R) employees.  Mr.
Rucker will continue serving with Mr. Blum as Co-Chair of the Diversity Action
Council and, along with Mr. Blum, will lead the company's initiatives in the
important area of diversity.
    Mr. Rucker has been a part of the BURGER KING(R) system for nine years and
brings comprehensive credentials and perspective to his new role.
    Mr. Rucker previously served as Vice President of the Central Region and
managed the operations for 2,000 franchise restaurants in 14 state territories
in the U.S.A. with approximately $1.5 billion in annual sales.  Prior to his
service in the Central Region, he served as Vice President and Director of
Business Diversity Enterprises with the responsibility of managing Minority
Franchising, Minority Business Development and the Diversity Advisory Council.
    Mr. Rucker began his career by serving in the United States Army for
nearly three years. During his tenure with the Army, he managed a $25 million
property account, developed and implemented operating procedures for more than
100 Army personnel, and served as a platoon leader and executive officer.  He
achieved the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army Inactive Ready Reserve.
    Mr. Rucker received a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder and
a M.S. from Central Michigan University.  He is a member of the 100 Black Men
of America and holds a seat on the Board of Visitors, Florida Memorial
College.
    He is married and has two children.
